Tree House Modern
Close friends and neighbors of a previous Eisenmann client, this family sought to improve their own home with a design distinct in character. The existing split-level was reorganized to improve circulation and maximize usable space. By capturing unused attic volume and expanding into the former garage, the home gained the flexibility the family needed without the need to build up. A relocated front door reoriented the entry and created more room for landscaping. The dark exterior gives way to a bright, playful interior defined by bold color and natural finishes. In the kitchen, minimal detailing sets the stage for the sculptural ceiling, an origami-like form dubbed the "paper airplane," which folds across the space in light and shadow. That geometry is echoed in the custom metal stair rail. Upstairs, lofted ceilings and white planes amplify light and volume, while the bathroom continues the airy palette with a skylight-filled shower and locally crafted geometric tile underfoot. A home that feels entirely its own, familiar in scale but transformed in character and light. Project Manager | Jos Reynaud Photographer | Mark Compton
